The Wells County Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development will be hosting a High School Internship and ICE Fair on Tuesday, March 10 from 8:00 am to 11am at the Arts, Commerce & Visitors Centre.
The event is meant to connect high school students, who have an interest in a specific career field, with businesses for an Internship or ICE program who can provide a learning opportunity for the student.
What is the Difference Between an Internship and ICE Program? Internship = is generally a non-paid position, the student would be at your workplace for 1-2 class periods (1 1/2 hours to 3 hours), 2 to 4 times a week ICE = is a paid position, working a minimum of 15 hours per week
***PLEASE NOTE: The majority of the students participating will be under the age of 18.***
We need our local businesses to provide this opportunity to our students. They are your future workforce. Help give them the opportunity right here in our own community in hopes that they will stay in our community.
Deadline for businesses to register for the Internship Fair is March 4th. No fee to participate.
